The idea of IDCO was born in 2004 when an independent group of experts called "Integrated Development Group –IDG" have decided to work together to provide an integrated solutions and consultancies solving challenges facing communities worldwide and response to the needs of these communities in the fields of human and natural resources development, capacity building , vocational training , community empowerment and welfare, improving food and agriculture security, health and environment conservation, water management and advocacy.

IDCO was formed officially in 2007 as non-governmental, non-political, non-religious and   non-profit making company, IDCO is overseen by a board of directors consisting of 7 individuals from different backgrounds and experiences. All are leaders in their field with success in the corporate world as well as the health, environment, education, development, and social responsibility sectors.
